CONSTITUTION: The box-shaped vessel 1 is tightly fixed to the main ridge 3 through a holder 2 by means of a U-belt 4 so that the vessel 1 forms itself a heat collecting tank when supplied with water. The vessel 1 has a length corresponding to the lengths of the main ridge and the hips and ridge-end tiles 11 and comma- patterned tiles 12 are placed on both ends of the main ridge, respectively, while a ridge-end tile 11 is placed on the lower end of each of the hips. Further, a water supply pipe 16 and a hot water supply pipe 17 are provided along each of the above heat collecting ridges and the ridges are then covered with roofing boards 8, stiffeners 9 and pan tiles 10 in that order to thereby form a roof of the conventional type. Consequently, in case where hot water is required to be supplied, the pipe 16 is connected to the service water conduit to feed water to the heat collecting tank and hot water is taken out from the pipe 17 by making use of the pressure of the service water or the inclination of the roof.
