CONSTITUTION: A movable scroll member 24 performs circular movement. and contacts with the side walls of both swirling bodies 242 and 252 of movable and fixed scroll members 24 and 25, and two symmetrical closed spaces are formed at a same time, and the pressures in both closed spaces are balanced. When the pressure detector (not shown in the figure) arranged on the exit side of an evaporator (not shown in the figure) detects the pressure below a prescribed value, a valve mechanism 32 is operated, and the vent hole 31b on a communication plate 31 is opened, and the closed space and an intake chamber 28 are allowed to communicate. Therefore, a portion of the compressed fluid taken-into two symmetrical closed spaces flows into the itake chamber 28 through the vent hole 31b, and the efficiency of the compressor is decreased. Thus, the efficiency of the compressor can be controlled according to the temperature environment inside a car, and the load for an engine can be lightened.
