All of these three layers are dry type multilayer analysis elements which are water permeable and have a reagent composition adapted to form material optically detectable with the presence of a component to be inspected contained in at least one water permeable layer which contains the reagent layer 20. In addition, the reagent layer 20 and the developing layer 50 are porous to facilitate the permeation of a high polymer or a hydrophobic component contained in a liquid sample and the light reflecting/shielding layer 40 is made up in substance of a microcapsule which has a core material comprising a high polymer containing a light reflecting particle and a wall comprising a hydrophilic or hydrophobic high polymer hardened not containing the particle in substance.
