CONSTITUTION: A heat medium circulating circuit 2, capable of effecting room cooling operation, provided with an indoor heat exchanger 1 to exchange heat between evaporated heat medium and indoor air, and dehumidifying operation, is equipped in the machine. The indoor heat exchanger 1 is provided with the variable rotating number indoor fan 3, ventilating the heat exchanger 1 forcibly, a room temperature detector 5 and a temperature detector 6 detecting the evaporating temperature of the heat medium in the indoor heat exchanger 1. A control circuit 7, controlling the heat medium circulating circuit 2 and the indoor fan 3 by the output signals of the temperature detectors 5, 6, is provided in the machine while the control circuit 7 increases the rotating number of the indoor fan 3 when the temperature difference between the room temperature, detected by the room temperature detector 5, and the evaporating temperature, detected by the temperature detector 6, is higher than the given value under dehumidifying operation and decreases the rotating number of the indoor fan 3 when the temperature difference is lower than said given value.
