CONSTITUTION: A flow cell 2 for a thermostatic device is held by materials of satisfactory thermoconductivity such as steel cell holder 4 through the intermediary of material 3a of likewise satisfactory thermoconductivity. The bottom of the device is tightly adhered to the heating surface 5a of thermoelectronic element 5 arranged on the lower surface through compound member 3b of satisfactory thermoconductivity. In addition, the bottom surface (cooling surface) 5b of the thermoelectronic element 5 is tightly adhered to an aluminium plate 6 via the compound member 3. Further, on the bottom surface of the aluminium plate 6, a heater 7 is attached as a surface exothermic element. Consequently, the thermal transfer efficiency of a thermoelectronic element as a heat pump is kept in satisfactory condition through the heating of the cooling surface 5b.
