CONSTITUTION: A heat pump unit 1 is arranged below the floor, an evaporater 2 is stored in a corrugated plate 4 closely contacted with the soil 3 below the floor, a thermostatic characteristic of under-floor air and soil 3 is utilized so as to take a terrestrial heat as an auxiliary heat source. Fan 5 is arranged at the south facing, a shutter 6 is closed at night and opened in day time to cause the surrounding air at the south facing to be fed into the under-floor space. Hot air flowed to the rear part of the housing 8 is fed into the under-floor part by a small- sized fan 7 arranged at the rear space of the housing 8 through within the wall 9 when the room is heated. These surrounding air at the south facing and hot air at the rear space of the housing 8 are applied as an auxiliary heat source to increase the temperature of the evaporator 2. When the cooling operation is to be performed, the heat is discharged to the air flowing from the north facing and the soil under an operation of the fan 17 arranged at the north facing and an opening operation of a shutter 18. The fan 5 is rotated in an opposite direction to discharge the under-floor air.
