CONSTITUTION: The objective carbon black can be obtained by using an unit constituted by the following components: 1. combustion chamber of cylindrical shape, 2. two air inlets-1 having center axis at a position located in the tangential direction of said chamber, provided in the front half section of the chamber, 3. indepedent six natural gas inlets-2 radially provided in the same section as the above, 4. air and/or natural gas inlet(s)-3 so designed as to introduce air and/or natural gas in the same direction as, or opposite direction to, the rotating direction of said inlets-1 with the feed conditions and rotating directions properly regulated. The carbon black thus obtained has the following characteristics. (1) dibutyl phthalate absorption 105W130ml/100g (2) iodine absorption 105W130mg/g (3) aggregate size distribution index (S) determined by the equation 0.15W0.20.
