CONSTITUTION: In a combustor, e.g., petroleum stove, etc., provided with a wick 1 as a vaporizing source and a double cylinder type combustion cylinder consisting of an outer flame cylinder and an inner flame cylinder having large numbers of small holes, a vaporizing chamber 11 is formed at the upper parts of wick outer and inner cylinders 2 and 3 having large numbers of small holes at the lower part of the combustion cylinder. The cross sectional area of the vaporizing chamber 11 is wider than that of the combustion cylinder consisting of the an outer flame cylinder 4 and an inner flame cylinder 5, the contact part 12 between the vaporizing chamber 11 and the combustion cylinder is positioned at a place higher than the tip of the wick, the cross sectional area of the contact part 12 is smaller than that of the vaporizing chamber 11, and heat source other than pore combustion occuring in the small holes of the wall of the vaporizing chamber is isolated from the vaporizing face. More preferably, the wall of the vaporizing chamber is made of a material having a low heat conductivity, separately from the wick inner and outer cylinders.
