CONSTITUTION: The armature 5 of AC exciter provided at the rotor side 7 of brushless synchronous motor is connected to rectifying circuit 8 containing diodes D1-D3, thyristors T1-T3 to supply the output to field winding 2. consequently when taken out the gate firing signal for thyristors T1-T3 by utilizing the voltage induced in the armature 5 of AC exciter, thyristors T1-T3 don't fire if DC excitation isn't provided on AC exciting field winding 6, and the field winding current flows only through the discharging resistor 3 during the starting thereby contains no DC component for producing the torque thus to improve the starting characteristic.
