A rotating pulse signal 105 and a phase reference pulse signal 106, which are obtained by electromagnetic pickups 9 and 10, are sensed. A sampling timing signal 107 which is proportional to the frequency of the rotating pulse signal is applied from a timing circuit 17 to the A/D converter 14 from the time point of the application of the phase reference pulse. In this constitution, the phase does not change at any number of rotation or at any time point of analysis, and the vibration can be sensed highly accurately.
