CONSTITUTION: A magnetic material, whose grain size is 0.1 to 5 μ and whose quantity is preferably 5 to 30% by weight of the toner, is added to the high-density (0.95 or more, preferably 0.97 or more) polyethylene oxide of 100 or more, preferably 200 or more in melt index, 100°C or more in softening point and 20 or more in acid value or to the toner binder containing 20% by weight or more, preferably 30% or more by weight of such a polyethylene oxide, thereby producing the magnetic toner. The magnetic toner 2 is attracted from a developing feeder 5 to a fixed magnet 3 to adhere to a rotating sleeve 4 made of stainless steel. The thickness of the toner layer is controlled by a blade 6. As a result, an electrostatic latent image on a photosensitive drum 1 is developed.
