CONSTITUTION: To start a washing stage by interrupting filtration, first the pressure in the piping between a reducing valve 13 and a quick opening valve 14 is kept under atmospheric pressure. Thereafter an inflow valve 11 and an outflow valve 12 are closed and the electric current to an electromagnetic coil 6 is interrupted. The valve 13 is opened to reduce the pressure of the high temp. and high pressure water in a space 5 down to around the pressure corresponding to saturation temp. When the valve 14 is opend quickly in such a state, the water in the space 5 flows quickly down into a matrix 2 and by the shearing forces thereof, the clads stuck on steel wool are stripped away.
