CONSTITUTION: High-frequency current is passed in a heating coil 4 by a high-frequency power supply 5 and a high-frequency magnetic field is generated near the heating coil. A crucible 2 which is vapor source as a conductive material and a ferromagnetic material 3 exist in the high-frequency magnetic field and, therefore, eddy currents are generated by electromagnetic induction. The eddy current is concentrated and passed to the vapor source 2 made of the conductive ceramics positioned on the outside in the heating coil by the skin effect of high-frequency induction heating. Heat generation is therefore, induced mainly in the vapor source 2 and the heat is transferred by heat transmission to the ferromagnetic material 3 by which the material is evaporated. Build-up of the evaporating surface by magnetic field force is, therefore, obviated and since the vapor source 2 is the conductive ceramics, said source does not react with the material 3. Since the coil voltage can be decreased, generation of an abnormal discharge between coil feeders is obviated.
