CONSTITUTION: A high-frequency electric power is supplied to an induction coil 4 around a furnace body 1 to generate magnetic fluxes crossing the coil 4. The resultant magnetic fluxes act on a molten aluminum 3 to generate eddy currents concentrically with the coil 4. The resultant eddy currents become currents in the direction opposite to the currents in the coil 4 and are concentrated on the outer peripheral surface of the aluminum 3 by the skin effect. Thus, the mutual repulsive force acts between the coil 4 and tongue end part (3a) of the molten alumimum to push back the tongue end part (3a) to the interior of the furnace body 1. The tongue end part (3a) maintains a somewhat protruded state in front of the furnace body 1 by the mutual action of the electromagnetic force and the gravity of the tongue end part (3a). A glass fiber 6 is then passed through the tongue end part (3a) in this state, coated with the aluminum, and then wound by a winding drum 7.
