CONSTITUTION: The weight of the molten steel 2 in a tundish 1 is detected by a load cell 11 and is applied to a nozzle opening degree control device 9 which adequately expands the opening degree of the nozzle 5 to pour the molten steel 2 into the casting mold 4 inserted with a dummy bar 10. The molten steel outflow detector 12 (TV camera, etc.) is positioned near the molten steel outflow port of the nozzle 5 so as to face said port. The detection signal thereof is applied to a molten steel outflow perception device 13. The device 13 applies a start signal for changing the nozzle opening degree to the nozzle opening degree control device 9 when the input signal level thereof exceeds a preset threshold value. The control device 9 outputs the opening degree signal of a preset opening degree adjusting part 5a to a servocontrol amplifier 7 in accordance with said input signal and the input siggnal from the opening degree detector 8. The servicontrol amplifier 7 operates a driving cylinder 6 by said input signal and the input signal from the opening degree detector 8 to adjust the flow rate of the molten steel flowing through the nozzle 5.
