CONSTITUTION: To generate the address of SPM5, the SPM address part of ROM register 2 and the output of latch 9 are OR-ed, bit by bit, by OR circuit 10. With latch 9 cleared, the SPM address is equivalent to the SPM address part of register 2 and the addressing of SPM5 is brought to effect. On the other hand, when data from SPM5 has already been set in latch 9 by transfer decoder 6, the SPM address is not one indicated by the SPM address part of register 2, but an address obtained through OR between the SPM address part and the content of latch 9. Even the execution of the same μPG step is changeable in SPM address depending upon the content of latch 9. Consequently, SPM5 can be cleared with a small number of μPG steps.
