With key switch KS depressed next, the Q output changes into "1" through the inversion of the FF, the contents of signal line L2 are displayed, and left-arrow display unit LAD comes on by the output of gate G1. When the effective numeral of register R is within eight digits, the output of decision circuit J is "0" and neither arrow display unit RAD nor LAD comes on.
