The excess molten zinc adhered to the surfaces of the strip steel 2 rising from the bath 1 at a high speed is controlled to a prescribed quantity by the inert gas blowing off through wiping nozzles 3. Because of the inert atmosphere in the shield box 4, the zinc is hardly oxidized.
