CONSTITUTION: A coding means 2 reads the contents of a direct relation table 1 via a data line 12 to encode each symbol and produces a symbol-code correspondence table 3. In other words, a table describes a list of the symbols and those symbols having the upper-lower relations with those first symbols. Based on this table, each symbol is coded and a code '1' is given to the highest symbol. When an upper symbol Ai has a code (a), the lower symbols having the direct relations with the symbols Ai are defined as B1, B2, .... Thus (i-1) pieces of '1' are connected after the code (a) for a lower symbol Bi (1≤i≤n) together with the bit train codes of '1' connected with '0' and '0'.
