The residual oil is introduced into a solvent-deasphalting device 21 and a low-molecular solvent 22 such as propane, butane or pentane in a quantity of 1W6 times by volume that of the residual oil is added thereto to carry out a deasphating treatment, whereby deasphalted oil 27 and deasphalted asphalt 28 can be obtd.
