CONSTITUTION: A cellulose actate compsn. comprises 90W98wt% cellulose acetate and 2W10wt% cellulose ester with a lower polymn. degree than the cellulose acetate, and has no low molecular plasticizer. A cellulose triacetate with the degree of acetylation ranging from 55W60% is pref. as the cellulose acetate to be employed. Cellulose acetate propionate and cellulose acetate butyrate are suitable as said cellulose ester with a low polymn. degree, and their MW is desirably one-half or below that of cellulose acetate as main ingredient.
