CONSTITUTION: L-Ascorbic acid or a salt thereof is coated with a coating agent consisting of 100pts.wt. fats and oils (e.g. hardened oil of beef tallow and coconut oil) having 50W80°C melting point, 1W30pts.wt. glycerin fatty acid ester (e.g. lauric monoester or stearic acid diester) selected from glycerin fatty acid ester or diester and 2W10pts.wt. fatty acid (e.g. stearic acid or palmitic acid) solid at normal temperature. The amount of the coating agent used is preferably 2W5 times as much as that of L-ascorbic acid by weight.
