CONSTITUTION: The hot water supply during the cooling operation is performed by using the hot water in the solar heat collector. During the heating operation, when the outside temperature is above 5°C, a four-way change-over valve 3 changes over the circuit of the apparatus to the circuit for heat pump operation actuated by a compressor 2 to heat the circulating water through an availing heat exchanger 7. When the outside temperature lowers below 5°C, the compressor 2 is stopped, a three-way change-over valve 10 is changed over to the water heater side and a combustion device 11 is started to heat the circulating water by passing it through the water heater 12. The hot water is supplied from the water heater 12, in which the water in the solar heat collector 14 is stored being sent by a circulating pump 16, when it has enough high temperature at the outlet of the collector 14. When the temperature in the collector 14 is low, the circulating pump 16 is stopped and the circulating water is heated by the combustion device 11 to be supplied as the hot water. In such a manner as mentioned above, the full amount of hot water can be supplied even during the heat pump operation.
