CONSTITUTION: Various kinds of fuel such as public utility gas, liquefied propane gas, gas of coal, heavy oil or the like and gasified gasoline are supplied from feeders 25W32 and adequately mixed with air. The mixture is sucked into space 11 through a valve 14 when a piston 9 is moved down. When the piston 9 is moved up, a valve 15 is opened so that the compressed mixed gas is injected into a high-temperature chamber 4 thrugh an antibackfire wire net 21. In the high-temperature chamber 4 provided with a glow plug 22 and an injection nozzle 23 for initial ignition, the mixture is compressd by the ascent of a power piston 3 and then burned. The combustion gas exerts a force to the power piston 3 while passing through a heat accumulating material in a displacer piston. The combustion gas is discharged through an exhaust port 35 when the piston 3 is moved down. When the piston 3 ascends, the gas flows in the opposite direction and receives heat from the heat accumulating material. An internal combustion hot gas engine is thus operated.
