A high-temperature billet W, being taken out of a continuous casting machine and split into a suitable length, is put in a billet container 15 by the rotation of the loading rollers 7 through the front door of the enclosing wall 10, and is transported under this condition; the billet W is then taken out of the rear door and is fed to a rolling line.
