CONSTITUTION: A steel pipe 1 is a steel pipe pile corresponding to JISA number 5525. A steel cover 2, to which not less than one ventilating holes 4 with 1W2cmϕ are mounted, is welded to the steel pipe pile, and a bottom is formed. Concrete (Or mortar) fillers 3 containing converter slag are poured from an upper portion of the steel pipe pile vertically erected. The fillers are filled up to an upper surface of the steel pipe pile, and an upper cover 2 is welded, thus making up a filled steel pipe pile. The pile is maintained for a day or two at the normal temperature, held for 3W10 hours at 40W70°C by means of a simple steam curing device or a painting burning device and cured. It is desirable that converter slag used for the fillers are not more than 5mm in diameters when it is employed as a thin aggregate and are not more than 25mm in diameters when it is used as a coarse aggregate.
