Thus, the deviation of FM modulator 3 is compressed and FM signal e is applied to mixer 7 without generation of a AM signal, so that the FM signal is transmitted. In the receiving side, the FM signal passed through divider 8 is selected and demodulated by BPF4'; on the other hand, the operation of BEF6' and AM detector 5' is the same as that in the transmitting side and the compressed signal is expanded to be regenerated by means of the reversed operation.
