CONSTITUTION: The browned part of garlic's dry sets is cut out from healthy garlic's roots, tissues and rhizosphere, its surface being disinfected, followed by culture at ca.28°C and pH6.5 or so in a PDA medium or Tuapeck medium, thus obtaining microorganisms belonging to Fusarium oxysporum, non-pathogenic to garlic and capable of inhibiting garlic from mycotic infection [represented by HF 8815 strain (FERM P-12218); HF 8835 strain ( FERM P-12217), etc.]. For application of the microbial cells or culture solution from the present microorganisms to garlic, either technique for treating dry sets roots, seeds etc., or soil treatment technique may be used.
