The thin film magnetic conversion element 2 is attached on the end face 103 which becomes an outflow terminal part against an air current flowing in a direction of arrow head (a) in combination with a magnetic recording medium. The take-off electrodes 3, 4 of the thin film magnetic conversion element 2 are derived to the plane 102 opposite to the medium confronting plane 101 of the slider 1. In such a way, it is possible to realize miniaturization without receiving limitation due to the area of the take off electrode, and to obtain a miniaturized magnetic head with high density recording and traceability, and fitted in fast access.
