CONSTITUTION: The existing piles 8 are horizontally excavated until their sides are exposed. Aboard the tractor, a cutting attachement 2 is mounted instead of a bucket. Then the cutter 6 is caused to work in the forwarding direction to cut the existing wooden pile 8. After the hewn existing wooden pile 8 was brought down by pulling the attachement 2 in the backward direction of tractor slightly, the receiving arms 5, 5 are again actuated to hold said pile and carry it to a prearranged position. Thus the removal operation for the existing piles can be carried out simultaneous with the excavation work. Accordingly, said method is extremely efficient.
