(Fig. 1); negative Ninhydrin and Sakaguchi tests; positive ferricyanide and reducing sugars; Rf values for various systems are specified; active against a wide range of gram-positive organisms. Paper chromatograms indicate the presence of various components of antibiotic No. 467.
