CONSTITUTION: A light beam emitting device 1 consists of a light source 2 which produces a laser beam, a fixed prism 3, a mobile prism 4, etc. The prism 3 is fixed at the front part of a rack 5 and reflects the laser beam sent from the source 1 to the upper part. Then the prism 4 emits forward the laser beam reflected by the prism 3 so that the means is set approximately parallel to the road surface 7. Then the prism 4 is moved up and down for production of the parallel beams B having large width and in response to the vertical shift amounts of the prism 4 to emit the beam B. The beam B are never scattered even in the far distances. Thus an unmanned carrier 20 travels along the driving route formed by the wide beams B.
