PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently induce excessive ovulation for a cow, stably discharge ovarian follicles, increase transplantable embryos of good quality and improve the productivity by injecting an exogenous gonadotropic hormone into the cow in a leuteal phase under specific conditions. SOLUTION: An antiinhibin antibody is injected into a cow such as a heifer reaching the sex maturation or a multiparaous cow which keeps the normal sexual cycle, holds dominant follicles and discharges a small number of excessively discharged follicles according to a usual hormone treating method in a leuteal phase to carry out passive immunization. Thereby, functions of the dominant follicles secreting inhibin are suppressed to increase the number of small follicles with an endogenous gonadotropic hormone. The excessive ovulation of the cow is then induced with an exogenous gonadotropic hormone. Furthermore, the passive immunization of the inhibin is preferably carried out by injecting an inhibin antibody prepared from an inhibin antigen into the cow in the leuteal phase.
