| 权利要求 | 1. An apparatus for providing a sheathed element comprising: means for longitudinally feeding a wire to a cladding zone; means for longitudinally feeding a cladding strip into juxtaposition to said wire at said zone; means for upturning and inturning the longitudinal edges of the strip about the wire at said zone to define a sheath thereabout; means for welding together said longitudinal edges less than fully through the thickness thereof; and means for positioning the edges of the sheath in alignment with said welding means for welding thereof by said welding means. 2. The apparatus of Claim 1 wherein said positioning means includes roller means for engaging said longitudinal edges of the strip at a position wherein the strip is upturned to extend approximately halfway about the wire. 3. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said positioning means includes a blade disposed between said edges at a position wherein the edges are inturned to be juxtaposed to each other. 4. The apparatus of claim 1 further including means for constricting the sheathed wire. 5. The apparatus of claim 4 wherein said constricting means comprises drawing die means and said apparatus is arranged for delivering the welded sheathed wire directly from the welding means to said die means. |
