A rod-like member as defined in claim 1 further characterized in that upon extrusion to a length in the range of about one to about two times the diameter of said member it self-severs to a pellet. 3. The rod-like pellet as defined in claim 1 wherein said projections have opposing sides of a generally concave-convex configuration with a concavo surface on each projection adjacent a convex surface of another projection. 4. The rod-like pellet as defined in claim 1 wherein said solid core portion comprises about 10-25% of the cross-sectional area of said rod-like pellet. 5. The rod-like pellet as defined in claim 1 wherein said projections are spaced from each other substantially equidistantly along said core. |
