AMENDED CLAIMS [received by the International Bureau on 01 September 1988 (01.09.88) original claims 1 - 4 amended; claim 5 unchanged (2 pages)]
1) Safe to store temporarely valuable goods characterised in that the safe (9) is connected by a strip of flexible material, to a helical screw anchor (6) with a semi spiral blade of aproximately 360°, which strip is placed in such a position that the safe (9) can rotate free without disconnecting the stem (5, 7) from the safe (9), which is screwed into the earth.
2) Safe according to claim 1) characterised in that the safe (9) has an easy detachable connection to the stem (5, 7) of the screw anchor (6) formed by a strip of flexible material with two openings of different diameter connected by a slit, less wide than the the smallest opening diameter, cooperating with the upper end of the stem (5, 7) that has a diameter that fits in the larger opening of the strip of flexible material and a groove near the end that fits in the smaller opening, while two flats in the groove can cooperate with the sides of the slit in the strip of flexible material, and a rim with a larger diameter on the stem (5, 7) near the groove in the stem (5, 7) that abuts to the outside of the housing of the safe (9), and two longitudinal extensions in the inside of the safe (9) which cooperates with the sides of the strip of flexible material and in between the two longitudinal extensions an opening that fits with the diameter of the end of the stem (5, 7) and in line with the larger opening in the strip of flexible material. 3) Saf e according to claim 1) and 2) characterised in that the safe (9) can be temporarely connected to the stem (5, 7) to permit the anchor (6) to be screwed in the earth by means of the housing of the safe (9) by having the end of the stem (5, 7) put through the opening in the housing of the safe (9) permitting the strip of flexible material to slide between the two longitudinal extensions to a position that the flats in the groove in the end of the stem (5, 7) engage with the slit in the strip of flexible material.
4) Saf e according to claim 1), 2) and 3) characterised in that the separate parts, comprising of a two-part stem (5, 7) and helical blade (6) interlocking rigid to torsion with a short internal and external spline and a three-part longitudinal connection strip with on one side having a pointed head that engages with an opening in the helical blade (6) provided on both ends with torsional locking means and a nut that cooperates with a screwthread on the other end of the longitudinal connection strip, the parts of the stem (5, 7) provided with a longitudinal hole that permits the connection strip holding the stem (5, 7) together, can be stored in the safe (9).
5) Safe according to claim 1) to 4) characterised in that the safe (9) is provided with a alarm.
\ STATEMENT UNDER ARTICLE 19
The amended text of the claims is based on the conclusion that the documentation of the search report indicates that the claims are not sufficiently detailed. Therefore the claims 1) to 4) are extended with more detail of the construction.
Consequence of these amended claims is that in the description a number of details have to be described. Also the drawings have to be amended.
The description should .be added with a description of the strip of flexible material, the end of the stem (5, 7), the connecting splines, the extensions on the bottom of the safe (9) and the three-part connection strip with the torsional locking means and nut.
This will also necessitate altering the drawings according to the amended text.

Holiday safe with ground anchor.

The present invention regards an anchor which can be screwn into the earth by means of a central stem, which anchor consists of a helical blade. The rod can be composed of several parts and has at one end the helical blade. The present invention is intended to install temporarily in the earth for instance on the beach and to put-on the other end of the rod a safe, with can prevent theft of money, creditcards, passports, photo-equipment etcetera deposited in the safe.

Known screw-anchors are Dutch pantent no. 166.103 and the European patent nos. 0.057.741 and 0.033.305. These are all meant to realise a permanent anchoring.

In fig. 1 is shown the helical blade 6), screwn into the earth with safe 9) placed on top, which safe 9) can be locked by means of a lock (not shown).

In fig. 2 the construction is chosen thus, that all the parts 5), 6), 7) and 10) can be stowed in the safe 9), creating a handy package.

Safe 9) is placed thus, that it can be used to screw in the helical blade 6), whereafter the safe 9) can be released on the inside, preventing undesired and unintentional unscrewing of the helical blade. In this way the safe 9) is used as a lever which lever can be unbolted.

The invention as in fig. 3 regards the anchor without the safe, which screwed-in anchor can be used far instance to secure dog leaches or tent ropes. Lever 8) is used to screw in and out the anchor.

The safe 9) as shown in figs. 1 and 2 can be provided with an alarm.
