The present invention relates to a coated fabric for an airbag. More particularly, the present invention relates to a coated fabric for an airbag in which a coating layer containing liquid silicone rubber having an elongation of at least 1,000% as measured by the KS M 6518 method of the Korean Industrial Standards is formed on the surface of a cloth, and to a method for manufacturing same. According to the present invention, airbag expansion and deployment properties are excellent since the excellent elongation of the liquid silicone rubber minimizes damage to the airbag fabric in extreme environments of high temperature and high pressure. Also, excellent accommodation properties, form stability, and air blocking effects are provided so that a passenger can be protected safely even in the case of a vehicle collision or rollover. |
