PURPOSE:To obtain a high temperature oxidation resisting metallic interwound body at a low cost by weaving thin wires made of a heat resisting alloy containing Cr or Cr, Ni to form a metallic interwound body, applying glaze on the surface of the wire, and calcining to form a ceramic layer. CONSTITUTION:Thin wires made of a heat resisting alloy containing Cr or Cr, Ni are woven to form a metallic interwound body of specified shape, or compressed after weaving to form a metallic interwound body of specified shape. A glaze prepared by using a high Ba substance as frit and adding chromium oxide is coated on it, and calcined at high temperature to generate a ceramic layer. As a heat resisting alloy containing Cr or Cr, Ni, a superalloy such as Ni-Cr stainless steel, inconel, incolloy etc. is desirable. |
