A process for manufacturing bags and the resulting bag are disclosed. The bags may be continuously and detachably connected, and continuously and detachably connected bags may be wound onto a roll. In addition, a dispenser is disclosed for storing and dispensing bags. Also disclosed is an apparatus for use in dispensing plastic bags. A dispensing system is disclosed for continuously and detachably connected series of bags and in which the removal of a bag results in the subsequent bag in the series being at least partially opened.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Beutelspendervorrichtung (1) für die Abgabe einzelner Hemdchenbeutel aus einem Stapel lösbar über ein Befestigungsmittel gebundener Hemdchenbeutel, umfassend

a) mindestens eine Auflagefläche (3) für zumindest einen Bereich des Befestigungsmittels und gegebenenfalls für zumindest den oberen zentralen Abschnitt eines Hemdchenbeutels, umfassend

eine Oberseite und eine Unterseite sowie einen vorderen Rand, einen hinteren Rand und erste und zweite sich gegenüberliegende Seitenränder;

b) mindestens ein Halteelemente (5) zum Eingreifen in mindestens eine Halteöffnung des Befestigungsmittels mit in longitudinaler Ausrichtung sich gegenüberliegendem ersten und zweiten Ende, das einen Winkel, insbesondere einen zumindest bereichsweise stumpfen Winkel, zur Auflagefläche aufweist, so daß das erste Ende näher zum vorderen Rand als das zweite Ende und das zweite Ende weiter von der Auflagefläche beabstandet als das erste Ende ist; und

c) mindestens einen ersten (19) und einen zweiten (21) Seitenarm, die sich jeweils in im wesentlichen entgegengesetzten Richtungen von dem ersten Seitenrand bzw. dem zweiten Seitenrand weg erstrecken und jeweils für die Auflage der sich gegenüberliegenden Tragegriffe der Hemdchenbeutel des Taschenstapels geeignet sind.

An apparatus is provided for packaging items within a container. The container is supported adjacent an indicator which determines the addition of an individual item into the container. The number of items added to a container is accumulated and the accumulated data for each container during a given cycle is stored. The stored data is then communicated to a processing unit for analyzing and use as a management tool within the packaging operation.

In a stack of pre-formed bags (30) of the kind each having a body (31) with a mouth (32) and a pair of handles (33) at opposite ends of the mouth, and supplied flat against one another in the stack, each bag has joined to side edges of the handles integral attachment parts (34) formed with apertures (36) and lines of weakening(35). The apertures (36) are engageable by retaining pins (49) of a dispenser (44) for the stack to be located in the dispenser. The lines of weakening (35), preferably joining the attachment parts (34) to the handles at inside edges of the handles, allow detachment of the bags from the retaining pins (49). Further attachment parts (38) may be provided on the bag bodies (31) at the mouths (32) for engagement by further retaining pins (49) of the dispenser. The dispenser (44) comprises a holder (45), preferably formed as a cartridge which encloses the stack of bags, supporting the retaining pins.
