A bag container dispenser includes a bag container. The container is formed of resilient material and has a bottom, a top, first and second sides, a front, a back and a removable access panel. The access panel has a top segment that includes a portion of the top and a connected front segment. The front segment has a height that extends from the bottom to the top. Stacked bags are sized and shaped to fit within the bag container. Each of the bags has a front wall, a back wall, an open top and a closure mechanism. The bags are dispensable from the container through an opening provided by removal of the access panel which may have a removable cover. A dispenser rack has a horizontal platform sized and shaped to support the bag container. Peripheral guards extend upward from the platform and constrain movement of the container during dispensing.

An apparatus for dispensing plastic bags is disclosed. The apparatus includes a dispensing rack having a base, opposing sides, and a front portion. The opposing sides include tracks that accommodate a spindle capable of being inserted through a core of a roll of plastic bags and into the tracks such that the roll of plastic bags is seated in the dispenser rack and rotatable with respect to the spindle. The front portion of the dispensing rack is formed with a tongue which engages with a slit between bags on a roll and causes a bag to separate along a perforation. The front portion of the dispensing rack may also be formed with wedges which angle downward from the sides of the dispensing rack toward a lower portion of the tongue. When a bag is detached, the wedges catch the next bag and hold the next bag in place.

A wide mouth carryout bag includes a front wall and a rear wall, each wall having a top edge, a bottom edge, first and second side edges. First and second side gusset joins the first and second side edges of the front wall to the first and second side edges of the rear wall. The first and second side gussets are folded inwardly from the first and second side edges of the front and rear walls. The bottom edge of the front wall is joined to the bottom edge of the rear wall at a bottom seal after the inward folding of the first and second side gussets. First and second angle seals extend from the first and second side edge of the walls to the bottom seal. When the wide mouth carryout bag is opened, the two angle seals will cause the bag to have a substantially flat bottom.

The pack of bags with or without the sleeve is suspended form a rack by inserting a hooks or hooks of the rack in the opening or openings at the disposable upper portion of the pack. The rack has an extension that abuts the upper middle portion of the back of the pack of bags in the gap formed between the folded sides and biases the back towards the front to facilitate the removal of bags.

A pivotally mounted bag control arm is mounted to the bag support platform and permits installation of the bag pack on the mounting device when pivoted to a first, loading position and located to rest upon an outermost bag in the bag pack when pivoted to a second, control position. A surrounding control cage is attached to the dispenser to prevent a user from pulling a lower portion of the bag.
