A seat has a configuration in which, in each side frame (21) of a cushion frame (20), an inner frame (211) and an outer frame (212) which have flanges (211a, 212a) extending along peripheral edges thereof are faced to each other with a space therebetween at least partially, and the flanges (211a, 212a) are fixed by hemming process along the entire peripheral edges thereof. Since the entire peripheral edges are hemmed, the inner frame (211) and the outer frame (212) are securely fixed. Additionally, since the inner frame (211) and the outer frame (212) which are thin-plate-shaped are used, reduction in weight of each side frame can be achieved. Further, since the inner frame (211) and the outer frame (212) are faced to each other with a space therebetween at least partially, a compressive/tensile strength required as a side frame can be secured by inserting an expanded bead body into the space.
248 Chair capable of nesting JP2012250412 2012-11-14 JP2014004319A 2014-01-16 HASEGAWA MASASHI; KURATA YOSHINORI
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comfortable nesting chair.SOLUTION: A chair comprises a leg device 1, a seat 2, and a seatback 3. In the leg device 1, a height and an opening angle of branch legs are designed so that the chair can be nested back and forth. The seatback 3 tilts backward around a first spindle 12 arranged at an upper front end of each of support frames 9. The seat 2 is attached to a movable base 14 so as to be slidable back and forth, the movable base 14 being joined to the support frames 9 so as to be turnable by being flipped up. When the seatback 3 is tilted backward, the seat 2 moves forward. Since the seat moves forward when the chair is rocked, the chair can give excellent relaxation even if it is capable of nesting.

A load support member includes spaced apart beam members, a linking member and a stop member. In another aspect, the beam includes a support surface defining first and second landing regions, which are in contact with and support a membrane. In another aspect, a brace member is secured between laterally spaced beams, with the brace member having a greater height than width at the end thereof and a greater width than height at the middle thereof. In another aspect, a pair of armrests are joined to a cross member and a pair of spaced apart beams in a releasable engagement. In yet another aspect, a pair of beam members are fixedly joined with a cross member, which is pivotally connected to a link pivotally connected to the beams. A method of assembling a load support structure is also provided.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat structure capable of responding to either normal or a relaxing posture and of providing the relaxing posture with a sufficient relaxation and having an excellent comfortableness at sitting.
SOLUTION: In the seat structure, although a back frame 20 itself is fixed to a frame support body 10, a cushion frame 30 shifts from a first position A to a second position B following a movement of a person to increase a tilting angle of a pelvis support part 31. Thereby despite no changes of a position of the back near a part above the chest, the lower limbs near the pelvis shift forward, thereby providing the same effect as that in the relaxing posture, or a reclined back frame in a conventional seat structure. Because the back is not required to be tilted backward, a foot rest space of an occupant in a rear seat is not restricted.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
253 Chair JP9618285 1985-05-08 JPS60242808A 1985-12-02 PIITAA OPUSUBIKU
A chair provided with a seat and a back rest, said seat (1) having a general saddle shape, a saddle-like member (2,3 ) projecting out from a mid part of each longitudinal side of said saddle shaped seat to support the rear, upper thigh portion of a chair user. The back rest (4) has a comparatively narrow, upwardly directed mid portion (5), and two branches (6, 7) projecting laterally therefrom, and intended to be used for elbow and/or forearm support. The chair can be used for sitting posture in both directions, i.e. facing away from or facing the back rest. In either of these sitting postures, the chair occupant can assume a sitting posture with a large open angle between the upper part of the body and the thigh section, the sitting posture then approaching that of a kneeling-like sitting posture.

PURPOSE:To obtain a variety of seat cushions by consecutively forming spring- member engaging holes which serve as foamed-material expansion holes along the inner periphery, between the upper and the lower bent parts, in a pan-shaped seat cushion frame whose center part is concaved downward. CONSTITUTION:A seat cushion frame 2 is supported onto seat slides 11 and 12 through legs 15 and 16, and a seat back frame 17 is supported at the rear edge part of the frame 2 so as to be raised-up and pulled-down. Said frame 2 is formed into pan shape and consists of an upper surface part 21, side wall part 24, and a bottom surface part 25. In this case, spring-member engaging holes 27..., 30... for longitudinal movement and the spring-member engaging holes 28..., 31..., for transverse support are formed consecutively along the circumference in the connection part between the upper surface part 21 and the side wall part 24 and in the connection part between the side wall part 24 and the bottom surface part 25 respectively. Each engagement hole 28 (27, 30, and 31 are similar) is formed with a depression part which projects outward on the both sides of the engagement part 32 which projects inwardly, and is used in combination as foamed-material expansion hole.

A work chair with an upholstered, adjustable seat and back which gives ergonomically correct support to the occupant's spine. The chair back comprises a back support and a shoulder support. The lower end of the back support is pivotally mounted in a rounded buttocks support at the rear of the chair seat. The shoulder support is pivotally mounted at the upper end of the back support. Both parts are contoured to correspond to the natural position of the spine. The inclinations of the back support and shoulder support are independently governed by a gas spring device and a torsion member respectively.
