44 Convertible Elongated Stepping Bench US15603264 2017-05-23 US20170334059A1 2017-11-23 Gary Moffat
A convertible elongated stepping bench configured to be uses as a standard step stool or a low profile sitting or kneeling platform. The bench includes an elongated rectangular, lightweight rigid frame with two opposite leg assemblies. Each leg assembly includes two pivotally attached rigid legs. Each leg is pivotally attached to a corner of the rigid frame. The leg assemblies pivot between a diagonally downward position that supports the rigid frame in an elevated position over the ground or fold inward, under and rigid frame. Attached to the outside surface of each leg near the pivoting hinge is a foot pad. Extending downward from the bottom surface of the rigid frame are at least two leg stops. When the legs are folded inward, the distal end of each leg rests against a leg stop so that the leg's axis is parallel to the rigid frame's longitudinal axis. When the leg assemblies are folded inward and the bench is placed on the ground, the feet pads on the legs supports the bench on the ground.

46 Load balancing descending device US12924909 2010-10-07 US20140054109A1 2014-02-27 Tracy Barnett
A load balancing descending device for controlling the descent of a user descending on a rope carrying a load is provided. The rope has a decreasing rope free end as the user descends. The load balancing descending device comprises a first plate and a second plate. A first pin is positioned between the first plate and the second plate with the first pin spacing the first plate from and pivotally connecting the first plate to the second plate and the combined first plate and second plate having a first side and a second side. A second pin is positioned between the first plate and the second plate with the second pin spaced from the first pin. An attachment mechanism is formed in the first side of the combined first plate and second plate for attaching a user and/or load. The rope is wrapped in a serpentine manner about the first pin and the second pin between the first plate and the second plate with the rope free end exiting the combined first plate and second plate from the second side. As the user descends the rope, the length and weight of the rope free end decreases thereby causing the load balancing descending device to rotate moving the rope free end in a general direction from the first side toward the second side and automatically balancing the weight of the user and load against the weight of the rope free end in order to maintain a controlled rate of descent.

48 PERSONAL KNEELING POSTURE SUPPORT ASSEMBLY US13583664 2011-03-18 US20130192928A1 2013-08-01 August Wilhelm Lamos
A kneeling posture support assembly is provided comprising a pair of knee supports having attachments whereby the knee supports can be attached to the legs of a user and an intermediate body support. Each of the knee supports and the body support are free standing in the operative position independently of each other on a supporting surface, with each knee support being tethered, directly or indirectly, to the body support and the other knee support by means of one or more elongate flexible connectors. The connectors permit limited movement of the knee supports relative to each other in both horizontal and vertical planes such that a part of any such limited relative movement of the knee supports is operatively transferred by way of the one or more elongate flexible connectors, to the body support that therefore follows the knee supports.

54 Wearable kneel-sit support device US10481532 2002-05-28 US07152919B2 2006-12-26 Steven J. Wurzelbacher; Ova E. Johnston; Stephen D. Hudock
A wearable kneel-sit support device includes a U-shaped body that is pivotally connected to both a seat member and a base member. A linking member connects the seat member and the base member, such that moving one of the seat member and the base member causes both the seat member and the base member to rotate from a folded position adjacent the leg of the user to an unfolded position. In the unfolded position, the base member can rest on a horizontal surface and the seat member is substantially parallel to the base member, so that the wearer can sit on the seat while kneeling. The device may be worn on the lower leg of a user in a folded position to allow unhindered ambulation.
55 Ergonomically designed knee dolly for use in all work tasks/applications which require one to perform various tasks on their knees US10779208 2004-07-10 US20040262869A1 2004-12-30 Nick R. Reining
An ergonomically designed and improved invention which relates to the field of kneeling devices, more particularly, relates to an improved kneeling apparatus that provides a lower kneeling position as well as pre-formed knee cups that put your knees to within one-half inch of the floor providing for less back strain and the ability to serve the worker with added material hauling capabilities and task related tool holders. The apparatus is comprised of a hardwood or solid plastic frame with two knee shaped cups formed/molded into the flat surface of the knee dolly protruding downward to {fraction (1/2 )}null of the floor. No other mobile knee device puts the knees closer to the floor, thereby minimizing back strain. Six casters provide support an ease of mobility by the user. The knee cups are designed to be large enough to also accomodate knee pads if worker desires. The flat surface of our product also provides for material handling and furniture moving, up to 300 lbs.
