110 MOTION SIMULATION CHAIR EP08847193.3 2008-11-05 EP2215618B1 2012-08-22 DENNIS, Warren, E.
A motion simulation chair incorporates a base (86) providing elevated attachment points for a number of support cables (66). A seat support (60) is carried within the base and engages a seat (62) for an occupant at a top end. The seat support has companion attachment points for the support cables at a bottom end. A control system incorporates a forward vertical control element (70) constrained for three axis motion about a control point. A horizontal control element (72) displaced upward from the control point and extending rearward from the forward vertical control element, engages the seat support. A control stick (68) operated by the user imparts motion to the forward vertical control element about the control point. Moving the horizontal control element alters the suspension angles of the cables providing a corresponding tilt of the seat support and seat for realistic simulation of motion resulting from inputs to a computer game by the control stick.

118 COMPACT FOLDABLE MASSAGE CHAIR EP01999301 2001-11-30 EP1345511A4 2005-07-27 ROLEDER JON W; MARTIN WILLIAM A; WEISKOPF PAUL M G; DRUSCH ARTHUR JOHN III
An improved massage chair (10) is provided herein. The massage chair (10) includes (i) a front lower support (12) including a front attachment section (14), (ii) a rear lower support (16) including a rear attachment section (18), (iii) a seat (48) secured to the rear lower support (12), (iv) a front upper support (22) including an upper attachment section (24), (v) a chest rest (26) secured to the front upper support (22), and (iv) a connector (28). Importantly, the connector (28) connects the front attachment section (14), the rear attachment section (18) and the upper attachment section (24) and allows for relative motion of the front lower support (12), the rear lower support (16) and the front upper support (22) about the connector (28). As a result of this design, the massage chair (10) easily moves between a transport position (32) and an upright position (30). Further, as a result of this design, the profile of the massage chair (10) in the transport position (32) is relatively small.
