The wheeled gantry hoist comprises a pair of mobile support trusses spanned by an elongated beam of sufficient length to permit the full width of the carpet to be passed thereunder. The beam suspends at least one ratchet winch adapted to lift modular office panels and furniture and be slidably and detachably suspended from the beam. The carpet roll, having been rolled onto a spindle, is horizontally supported by a mobile carriage for spooling out the carpet. A blower is disposed to force high-velocity air beneath adhesive carpet to lift the carpet and prevent adhesion of the carpet to the floor as the carpet is being pulled beneath the raised furniture to be set in place by an installer. The environment is thus readied for carpet to be set in place.

116 Lift and portable lift US227243 1994-04-13 US5427356A 1995-06-27 Adam Krotov; Sandra L. Krotov
The instant invention uses a ladder which attaches to a wheel-base type stabilizer which aids in rolling the object onto and off a roof or other elevated area. The ladder attaches to the wheel base stabilizer with two "U" shaped channels which receive two of the ladder rungs and the rungs are locked in place with two slip pins on the underside. At the top of the ladder is a leg which also has two "U" shaped channels which slip over the rungs of the ladder and are locked in place with two slip pins. A boom, with a mating square tube welded to it, receives the leg which is attached to the top of the ladder. A leg and wheel assembly are assembled into a second mating square tube welded to the other end of the boom and held in place with a slip pin.
117 Knockdown hoist with double winches US634717 1990-12-27 US5064079A 1991-11-12 C. Dewayne Bowerman
A portable wheeled hoisting frame includes two winches. The hoist disassembles, and the parts fit into a backpack. When assembled the frame has an open rectangular base with corner wheels, two upright members, and a top bar between the upper ends of the two upright members extending across above the open base. The primary winch is mounted on the top bar. There are top bar extensions. The hoist can vertically lift objects under the frame, as when straddling a scuttle hole, with the primary winch. A secondary winch attached to the hoisting frame can exert a sideways or downward force for cantilever lifting. The force of the secondary winch will then balance the weight of the object held by the primary winch. The extension bars allow hoisting in numerous ways. An object may also be supported on the frame base for rolling on supporting surfaces. There are two fixed wheels and two swivel castors on the frame.
118 Gantries US179671 1980-08-19 US4334480A 1982-06-15 Bernard E. Wallace, deceased
Leg structure for portable, height-adjustable gantries is disclosed having an upper, single vertical tubular post member telescopingly received within an open-ended sleeve formed by coupled aligned channel members of lower, break-apart sectional supporting framework. The channel members are supported and elevated by diagonal bracing members and struts giving a generally inverted-Y shaped configuration to the leg so that it can straddle objects and permitting the free, unobstructed downward passage of the post through the lower opening of the sleeve. A locking bolt passes through aligned holes in the post and channels to selectively hold their relative positions, with hand-operated winch means aiding the movement of the post. Post extension members are disclosed which can be added to the leg post while the gantry is assembled. The plate connection between the top of the post and a load-supporting I-beam is externally and internally braced by triangles and post weldment or casting insert elements, respectively. Alternative embodiments show plate and tubular spacer channel coupling arrangements, and solid post-to-frame and non-breakdown frame leg configurations.
