An installation for lubricating, cleaning and/or disinfecting conveyor belts for containers, more particularly for foods, such as bottles, glasses, cans, bags and the like, comprising a central metering station connectable to a water pipe used to dilute a concentrated lubricant, cleaner or disinfectant, and several distributing pipes connected to the metering station lead to the points of use. At each point of use there is a mixing valve (13-19) connectable to distribution line (52) and the water pipe (23) and individually adjustable for each point of use and a pressure reducer (50, 51) fitted upstream of each mixing valve. Varying concentration can be provided for each point of use (31-37) with little technical complexity. In another embodiment, the invention is the process carried out by the installation. |

An exercise treadmill is disclosed which includes means for lubricating the endless belt treadmill components. In each embodiment, a lubricant is applied to either the inner surface of the treadmill belt or to the treadmill support deck, thereby reducing the treadmill belt to support deck friction. The applied lubricants can be either solid aerosol or liquid in form, and can be dispersed as a function of treadmill operating time, treadmill belt distance traversed or in response to a measured parameter indicative of belt to deck friction. Additionally, methods are disclosed for lubricating treadmills to reduce belt to deck friction. |

A system for the lubrication of a drive chain of a conveyor includes a container precharged with pressured air and at least partially filled with lubricant. A pressure regulator located within the interior of the container is connected, at one end, to a container outlet and, at the other end, to a conduit for the flow of lubricant. An adjustable needle valve located externally of the container is connected to the conduit for regulating the flow of lubricant. A solenoid valve is connected to the conduit downstream of the needle valve for controlling the flow of lubricant, and a nozzle is located downstream of the solenoid valve for dispensing a lubricant onto the drive chain. |

An improved conveyor lubricating system for applying a multi-ingredient lubricating composition to a conveyor. The system includes a holding tank which is operatively connected to a plurality of separate supply tanks where each of the ingredients of the composition are contained in a concentrated form. Pumping bodies are provided for separately pumping each of the concentrated ingredients into the holding tank in any desired ratio. Water is then added into the holding tank to dilute the concentrated ingredients and form the lubricating composition. A pump is provided for pumping the lubricating composition from the holding tank to the conveyor. |

Slats (10) of a slat conveyor chain (60) each have a multiplicity of drain holes (11) distributed in a desired pattern, and discharge grooves (12) formed in the underside of each slat along sliding surface portions (13) facing guide rails of the slat conveyor chain (60). A treatment liquid, such as lubricating liquid or washing liquid, supplied onto a load-bearing upper surface of the slat conveyor chain for stable and damage-free conveyance of articles such as PET bottles, cans and so on is smoothly discharged from the discharge grooves through the drain holes without scatting around a frame of the slat conveyor chain. With this discharging of the treatment liquid, bearings and a speed reducer of a chain drive mechanism are protected against corrosion. The slat conveyor chain can, therefore, operate reliably over a long period of use while keeping the surrounding environment against contamination with the treatment liquid. <IMAGE> |

PURPOSE: A device for preventing breakage of a conveyor unit for conveyance of a wire rod coil is provided to prolong the life span of a conveyor belt by suppressing breakage caused by spring phenomenon of the conveyor belt or chain by overload of the wire rod coil. CONSTITUTION: A conveyor unit(90) comprises a conveyor belt(60) and a roller chain conveyor(70) for conveyance of a large diameter wire rod coil. A device for preventing breakage of the conveyor unit for conveyance of the wire rod coil comprises an impact-buffering unit(10) and a tension control unit(20). The impact-relief unit has impact-buffering springs(13,14) installed to a buffering rail(11) installed over a side chain(76) of the roller chain conveyor. The tension control unit has a wheel(21) elastically supported by a spring engaging with the inner face of the side chain. The wheel gives tension to the side chain. The device for preventing breakage of the conveyor unit for conveyance of the wire rod coil keeps tension of the roller chain conveyor regular while absorbing impact given when overload is transmitted to the roller chain conveyor. |
