The continuous helical gear plant includes stretches of coaxial synchronously rotating helical gear constituting conveyor lines (12, 15) and stand-by and storage rings (1) connected to them by means of slip points (17): the said rings are connected to the said conveying lines by means of a descending spiral node (11) consisting of smooth tubes (13, 14); there are bar code readers (20) for the bar codes attached to the hangers (9). The rings (1) consist of an ascending stretch of rotating helical gear (3), a junction (5), positioned at an intermediate level of the said node (11) up to the level of horizontal stretches (2), a stretch of descending tube (4) brings the hangers back down to the level of the said junction. Descent control devices are also provided and various arrangements of the component parts are possible. Finally, there are also supports, motorised or not, for the continuous helical gear, rigid or flexible, pin roller bearings and a cradle for the flexible helical gear with low friction rollers.

Such attachment mechanically supports and aligns the conical bullnose tip to the distal end of the flexible rotating open helix screw and a central turning axis. A nose opening in the conical bullnose tip allows either exit or entry of material freely to or from the supply bed, depending on the conveying conditions.

The clutch is disengaged when breaking up a clump of granular material to prevent the rotation of the auger.
