The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for conveying preforms (12), for example to a blow molding machine for producing containers from a thermoplastic material. Said apparatus comprises a sorting device (5) in which the preforms (12) are sorted in such a way as to have the same orientation, a gravity conveyor device (8) which is located at the discharge end of the sorting device (5) and via which the preforms (12) are fed to the blow molding machine, and a transfer device (11, 13) which is disposed between the sorting device (5) and the gravity conveyor device (8) and in which the preforms (12) are transferred from the sorting device (5) to the gravity conveyor device (8). The sorting device (5), the conveyor device (8), and the transfer device all have guiding surfaces with specific contours, by means of which the preforms (12) are guided through the apparatus (1). The invention is characterized in that the guiding surfaces adjoin each other essentially in a stepless manner, the transfer device being designed as a transfer element (13) that has a curved guiding surface (22) which is adjusted to the shape of the contour of the guiding surface of the sorting device (5) at the end facing the sorting device while being adjusted to the shape of the contour of the guiding surface of the gravity conveyor device (8) at the end facing the gravity conveyor device. Said two contours of the guiding surfaces facing the ends of the two devices are different, and the guiding surface (22) is stepless between said two ends.

PURPOSE: A chute device is provided to prevent the damage of an equipment, the environmental pollution and to improve the operating efficiency of the equipment by preventing the skew of a belt conveyor. CONSTITUTION: An upper chute portion is installed to pass a material fallen from a discharging portion of an upper belt conveyor(10). A damper(13) is installed in the upper chute portion. A folding portion comprises a circular chute(27), plural square plates(17) and an elastic member(19). The circular chute is located under the upper chute portion to pass the material through the upper chute portion. The square plates form the discharging portion by continuously overlapping in a fixing ring(18) to be formed through the circular chute. The elastic member is fixed under the square plates. A lower chute portion is installed between the folding portion and a lower belt conveyor(10-1) and has a groove to insert the lower parts of the square plates. The diameter of the discharging portion is extended when the fallen materials from the upper belt conveyor is large. Otherwise, the diameter of the discharging portion is shrunken by the elastic member. Thereby, the skew of the lower belt conveyor is prevented.
