Die Erfindung betrifft einen Standschirm mit einem an einem Ständer (2) angeordneten Spanngestell (3), und mit einer Dachhaut (5), die oberhalb mehrerer Tragarme (8) des Spanngestells (3) angeordnet und von diesen getragen ist, welche über jeweils eine Stützstrebe des Spanngestells (3) mit einer entlang des Ständers (2) verstellbaren Gelenkanordnung (7) verbunden sind, wobei ein von der Dachhaut (5) im aufgespannten Zustand gebildetes Dach (4) mehrere Dachsegmentabschnitte (9a - 9d) aufweist und zumindest ein erster (9a) der Dachsegmentabschnitte (9a-9d) in jede Umfangsrichtung von jeweils einem (8a, 8b) der Tragarme (8) begrenzt ist, wobei diese beiden Tragarme (8a, 8b) winklig zueinander sowie unter einem Winkel β zu einer gedachten, senkrecht zur Längserstreckung des Ständers (2) verlaufenden Radialebene angeordnet sind, und wobei mittig zwischen diesen beiden Tragarmen (8a) ein weiterer der mehreren Tragarme (8) angeordnet ist. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass der mittig zwischen den beiden Tragarmen (8a, 8b) angeordnete Tragarm als erster Firstarm (10a) ausgebildet ist, der im gespannten Zustand in der Radialebene verlaufend angeordnet ist, wodurch der erste, auf dem ersten Firstarm (10a) aufliegende und sich entlang des ersten Firstarms (10a) erstreckende Dachsegmentabschnitt (9a) zwei einen Winkel Y aufspannende Dachhautabschnitte (11a, 11b) erhält, die zwischen dem Firstarm (10a) und jeweils einem der beiden den ersten Dachsegmentabschnitt begrenzenden Tragarme (8a, 8b) gespannt sind, die mit ihrem jeweiligen freien Ende nach unten weisen.
