17 VAMP WITH LOOP PROTECTION EYELETS AND MANUFACTURE METHOD THEREOF US15297908 2016-10-19 US20170354202A1 2017-12-14 Qinglai CAI; Weixiong SHI; Le CHEN; Yizhen CAI; Fang LIN
A vamp with loop protection eyelets and a manufacture method thereof are disclosed. The vamp comprises a vamp body including a middle part having a notch which functions as a shoe tongue part. The vamp body is one-piece knitted fabric or a sheet-splice-vamp. Strings are projectively fixed on the upper surface of the vamp body. Threads embroider and fix the strings on the vamp body along a path of the length direction of the strings. The strings not only form a pattern on the vamp body but also leave loops on the shoe tongue part. Loops protrude inwards from both side edges of the shoe tongue part. The vamp has ventilation and has good supportability and straightness, is not only esthetic but also can protect feet. Protection eyelets are connected very firmly and do not come off easily. The pattern with a stereoscopic visual effect is formed on the vamp.

19 Apparatus for assembling speed lacers US819108 1986-01-14 US4700449A 1987-10-20 Wayne M. Chapman
A method and apparatus for assembling speed lacers on sheets, such as the lacing strips of boots, wherein the speed lacers are of generally U-shaped configuration and each comprises an arch-shaped end portion and a pair of spaced legs which extend therefrom terminating in apertures clamping discs. The apparatus comprises an assembly unit comprising a movable die assembly, a stationery die assembly, a punch assembly, a feed finger, a feed block, and a positioning pin. During operation of the apparatus in accordance with the method, a speed lacer is advanced through a channel in the feed block with the feed finger and received on the positioning pin adjacent the forward end of the channel, and the clamping discs of the speed lacer are engaged by dies of the die assemblies to deform the speed lacer to a clamping position wherein the clamping discs thereof clampingly engage the sheet. Thereafter, while the dies are still in engagement with the clamping discs, the punch assembly, which is operative through the center of one of the dies, punches an aperture in the sheet which is aligned with the apertures in the clamping discs.
