A stamp dispenser for dispensing one or more stamps from a roll of stamps, such as a roll of liner-less adhesive-backed stamps, may include a hub member for rotatably receiving the roll of stamps and a separation member spaced apart from and coupled to the hub member. In preferred embodiments, a user may grasp the leading portion of the stamp web, pull it across the separation member, permit the underside of the stamp web to adhere to the separation member, tension the leading portion of the roll across the separating surface, and then tear the leading stamp(s) from the web. The stamp dispenser may further include a substantially cylindrical sleeve disposed between the roll of stamps and the hub member, or the roll may include a substantially cylindrical core, wherein the roll of stamps is wound around the core. |

A device for separating and dispensing strips of self-adhesive articles, such as postage stamps, labels and other materials formed in strips. Elongated strips of these self-adhesive articles are wound into rolls and supported upon a waxy backing layer and require separation for use. The separating dispenser may be a two-part assembly having a housing and a closure for the housing, with a slot therethrough, which the elongated strips of self-adhesive articles are dispensed and advanced through complementary guide pins that frictionally hold the dispensed material. The device can separate a backing layer from stripped material when the backing layer and the stripped material are directed along different paths and only the backing layer is advanced through the guide pins. The mechanism of the present invention advantageously permits efficient production and operation. In addition to being economical and easy to use, this invention has obvious reliability advantages. |

A new and improved moistening apparatus is used with a squeezable bottle and includes a moisture dispensing assembly connected by a friction fit to the mouth portion of the bottle. The moisture dispensing assembly includes a stopper assembly, a moisture dispensing element (such as a sponge) supported by the stopper assembly, and a conduit tube assembly connected to and in fluid communication with the moisture dispensing element. The conduit tube assembly extends from the moisture dispensing element to an interior portion of the bottle for conveying water from the bottle to the moisture dispensing element. By squeezing the bottle, water is forced by positive pressure from the body portion through the conduit tube assembly to the moisture dispensing element. The stopper assembly, connected to the mouth of the bottle by a friction fit, may include a stopper element that has a plurality of stepped portions each including a different outer diameter, such that the different stepped portions are capable of fitting into different-size mouth portions of different bottles. The stepped portion which has the largest outer diameter may include a threaded outer portion. A complementarily threaded cap may be attached to the threaded outer portion to seal the moisture within the bottle. The conduit tube assembly may include two telescopically connected members for adjusting the effective length of the conduit tube assembly. A stamp supply retention assembly may be connected to an exterior portion of the stopper assembly for facilitating moistening of the stamps. |
